Pastor Brian Taylor
Youth Director/Music Director Zeb Lyons
Church Secretary Jan Stanley
Pastor Taylor was saved and baptized at the age of 12 while attending the First Baptist Church of Cedar Lake, Indiana. At the age of 19, he joined the United States Air Force and served for 15 years in various places such as England, Italy, Spain and Oklahoma. In 1996, while stationed at Altus Air Force Base, he surrendered his life for full time service. However, it wasn’t until June 2001, that the Lord called him to preach the Gospel and serve as a missionary to Mexico. He and his family spent 3 ½ years on deputation and ministered 4 years to the Mexican people. After the church had been planted he felt God wanted him to return to the States and it was during that time that God changed his direction of ministry. While attending Sara Road Baptist Church the Lord began to impress upon his heart to remain in the States and serve this local assembly. The church voted him in as Pastor on August 10, 2011. Pastor Taylor has been married to his wife Janice for 21 years. They have 3 wonderful children who are actively serving the Lord.
Zeb had the privilege to be raised in a ministry home from a small child as his father pastored in Southern Missouri. It was during this time at the age of 15 he accepted Christ as his Savior and dedicated his life to whatever God would call him to do. In 2006, while on deputation with his parents, he surrendered to the ministry and in November of that year took a position as music director for Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. God eventually opened doors for him to move to Oklahoma and take a part in Sara Road where he has been working since September of 2010. He and his wife Amanda have been married since June of 2011 and continue to serve in the Church.
Jan received Christ as her Savior at the age of 8 during Vacation Bible School in Sun Valley, NV. She has been attending Sara Road Baptist Church since March 2008. Jan & her husband have been married 7 years. Together they have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. She is an avid dog lover, and enjoys sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. Above all else she loves serving the Lord.
